Mr. John Allen (Jack) Beasley died while sleeping Sunday night, May 11, at his home on Brush Creek. He had been in ill health for some time, age 55 years, 11 months and 19 days. He was born and reared in this county, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe Beasley of Brush Creek and followed the carpenter trade all his life. He was preceded in death by his wife several years ago. Survivors are three sons, Land and Joe George Beasley of Brush Creek, and Tom Beasley of the U> S. Navy stationed at Yorktown, Va., one daughter, Mrs. James King of Linden. One sister, Mrs. Etta McGee of Linden and nine grandchildren also survives. Funeral services were conducted by Bro. Dave Rose at the Warren Cemetery on Brush Creek Tuesday afternoon with McDonald Funeral Home in charge. Source: Perry County Paper, issue June-1952.
