Shared note

Sarah Agnes Williams Stone was born 18 May 1843, on Somerset Creek in Montgomery County, Kentucky to Oliver Badger Williams and Mariah Allen Williams. She married James Stone from nearby Bath County, Kentucky, on 17 March 1864 in Russellville, Indiana. Both sets of parents had moved from Kentucky to Indiana as early as the late 1850's. She and her family moved to Greencastle by 1880 and she resided there until James died some time after 1900. Her daughter, Anna M., was a school teacher in Greencastle, Putnam County, and remained unmarried. After Anna's retirement in about 1915, she moved with her mother to San Pedro, California. Sarah lived to a ripe old age, dying 26 Feb 1943. Her body was returned to Greencastle for burial. Sarah, her husband James and their dau Annie all share a common tombstone in the Forest Hill Cemetery, Greencastle, Putnam, IN.
