DEACON ISAAC LOUNSBERRY, son of John Lounsberry, was born December 21st 1757, and came to Canoe Camp in 1818. He was a Revolutionary soldier, and died April 4th 1851, aged 94 years. He married Susanna Wright, by whom he had fourteen children, of whom Letson, Ira and Isaac now live at Canoe Camp. Letson Lounsberry was born September 4th 1804; married Cynthia Huntington, daughter of Christopher Huntington, and has four children living. Ira Lounsberry was born August 8th 1808; married Sophia Prentice, and has four children living, of whom Isaac, one of our leading citizens, is one. Isaac Lounsberry was born February 9th 1811; married Laura Ann Gillett, and has three children living. (From the chapter on Mansfield and Richmond Township in "History of Tioga County, Pennsylvania" published by W. W. Munsell & Company, NY, in 1883) The 1820 Tioga County, Covington Twp., Pa Census, NARA microfilm %3 3 #113, page 13, shows Isaac Lounsberry (note spelling difference), with 2 males u nder 10, 3 males between 10-16, 1 male 26-45; 1 female 10-16, one female 26-45 , 1 person engaged in agriculture. The 1850 Tioga County, Richmond Twp., Pa Census, page 185, line 36, shows Isaac, age 92, a laborer, born in New Jersey or New York, as a Laborer, living in the household of his son Isaac, next to a number of his children. Isaac served in the Revolutionary War, per Barbara Unkefer in Ohio, Compuserve #71341,3165, as did his father John., from a book on the Lounsberys , compiled by B. Clark, G.K.Dennis and M.
