Velmer A. Herriman, 87, of Omak, Washington, died May 7, 2001 at Harmony House, Brewster, Washington. She was born February 27, 1914 at Witter, Arkansas to David Delbert and Sarah Ellar Edens Odgen. She was raised at Witter. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, George, one child, Jerry, two grandchildren, Michael Davis and Cheryl Herriman, and three great-grandchildren. She was married to Millard D. Herriman on August 2, 1929 in Huntsville, Arkansas. They were married for 57 years when he died March 28, 1987. They lived in Madison County, Arkansas until 1943 when they moved to Pike County, Missouri. Then in 1948, she moved to Omak. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Okanogan. She is survived by children Freda and Norman Fallesen of Bolivar, Missouri, Coy 'Zeb' and Nadie, Dewey and Donna Herriman of Omak, Troy and Carole, Frank and Trinia Herriman of Okanogan, Mary and Stanley Davis and Ellen and Art Anderson of Omak, Joanne Herriman, daughter-in-law, of Omak. Grandchildren are: Anne Keller of Louisiana, Missouri, Jay and Mark Fallesen, Jan Burns of Missouri, Mary Sosa of Diamond City, Missouri, Glenn and Coy Ray Herriman, Connie Black, Thelma Marlett, Roy Gene, Jennifer, Josh and Jonathan Herriman of Omak, Sandra Badger of Tonasket, Washington, Michael Herriman of Nevada, Dan Herriman of Bothell, Washington, Kathy Rose of Edmonds, Washington, Troy Herriman of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Don and Debi England of Arkansas, Robert Davis and David Herriman of Cheney, Washington, Melissa George of Seattle, Washington, B. Wayne Herriman of Omak; forty-five great grandchildren,; three great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Orlean Vinsant of Yakima, Washington and Helen Bryant of Witter, Arkansas; two brothers, Archie Ogden of Witter, and Genon Ogden of Huntsville, Arkansas. Funeral services were held Friday, May 11, 2001 at Barnes Elmway Chapel, Omak, Washington, with Minister Ed Rodgers officiating. Burial was at the Riverside Cemetery under the direction of Barnes Elmway Chapel. Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association or the charity of your choice.
