Funeral services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel for Mrs. James R. Grimes, 901 east ninth street, who died at the city hospital of Pawhuska at 11:30 after an illness of several months.* Death was the 14 day of June 1955. Mrs. Grimes was born at Stanbury, MO. December 21, 1878. She was married to James R. Grimes on October 23, 1896 at Enid and she and her husband moved to Osage county from Kingfisher, Okla. in 1926. *They were Pioneer 89'ers. The family lived in the Pappan district for many years. She was a very active member in the Pappan home demonstration club and the Oak Grove club. Burial will be in the city of Pawhuska cemetery, WED. following services here. Her husband preceded her in death in November of 1951. Four sons, Marion Francis Grimes of Pawhuska: Mark Eugene Grimes of Borger, Texas: Major Laddie Joe Grimes of Fort Knox, Kentucky,:and Private John Winston Grimes of Fort Bliss: five daughters,, Mrs. Annabelle Hutchinson of Pawhuska, Okla.: Mrs Eva Mae Hubby of Pasadena, Texas: Mrs Flora Turner of Panhandle,Texas: and Mrs. Jane Casebeer of Sedan, Kansas. 28 grandchildren and 17 great -grandchildren: Two sisters: Mrs. Effie Branaham of Whitaker, California and Mrs. W. R. Carson of Custer City, Okla.: two brothers: Ira Stevenson of Kansas City, MO. and Glenn Stevenson of Aztes, New Mexico.
