The Republican - Valentine, Nebraska - September 2, 1932. Walter Eugene Williams was born in Illinois in April, 1860, and died at Valentine, Nebr., August 28, 1932, at the age of 72 years and 5 months. He moved to Springview, Nebr., in 1881, and in 1920 he moved to Valentine, where he has lived ever since. He was united in marriage to Mary Graham in 1886 at Springview, Nebr. and to this union were born three children, Eva M. Lentz of Long Pine, Delsia Etta Clark of Valentine, and John Eugene Williams of Tacoma, Wash. He is survived, along with the above mentioned children, by one brother in Wyoming, two brothers and one sister in Iowa, by his wife in Portland, Ore. and by fifteen grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Mr. Williams worked on the railroad most of his life and was a hard working, honest man, and will be missed by all those who knew him. During the last six years when in ill health, he made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Clark. When a boy he was baptised into the Methodist church. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday by Rev. T.A. Barton, Presyterian minister, at the Wilkinson undertaking parlors, and interment made at Mt. Hope cemetery.
